~A New Life~ A small child having fun Darting to and fro Moving in perpetual motion Nothing about them slow. Many friends they flaunted Center of attention we can see Such a pleasure to observe How happy they can be. Some children deal with ways of the world So much to learn about Now they show up for all to see On the Inside looking out. As years pass by the picture changed The line of friends grow thin They wonder what it would be like From the outside looking in. Estranged from their friends and family Not one place do they belong Experience says looking in or out Need to find where they went wrong. They spilled the milk, no need to cry There is little that one can do Pick up the pieces and do their best And start their life anew.
