Let Me Come Inside


Why do you seclude yourself
behind a locked door
that continues to close me out
when I need so much more.



Why are you afraid to show me
the emotions inside of you?
Things were not like this
when our love was brand new.



If our relationship is to continue
on throughout the years,
I need you to talk to me
so I can ease my hidden fears.



It is only the surface I see -
as if your emotions have died.
You need to open up to me
and allow me to come inside.
