Old memories are more beautiful
Than anything that is brand new
They are filled with love
Of all the things we used to do.
Old albums filled with photographs
Love letters tied up with lace
Bring back many old memories
That new ones cannot replace.
Roller skates and teddy bears
A beautiful ring my mother wore
Many treasures waiting there
In a chest marked forevermore.
Old memories last forever
Growing more precious each day
Because they are old memories
We made while traveling on our way.
