Shadows Of Evening

Shadows of evening soft as velvet
Glowing with a bit of light
Bringing peace to our hearts
Settling into a gentle dark night.



God made the shadows of evening
So we could close our eyes
And sleep for a while in comfort
Underneath the starry skies.



The daytime, like children
Needs rest from work and play
And evening shadows gives them
A chance for a brand new day.



Enjoy the shadows of evening
That God sends down from above
As the shadows turn to darkness
God watches over us with love.
