~Windows To The Soul~
There is a window to the soul of you and me
And through that window one can see
The soul laid bare
And the feelings of the soul to be seen there.
Feelings of hurt are on display
Though not a word they say
For pain is reflected in the window
So others can see real pain they show.
The soul, the window does reveal
For one with discernment to see
That hope no longer dwells there
Because the soul is filled with despair.
Windows of the soul shine with hope
When with trouble success was found to cope
And stronger they are
For having pressed on reaching that shining star.
When the soul is filled with love
A beautiful light in the window of the soul shines
With certainty to know
That joy dwells within the soul because love is mine.
Eyes are the window of the soul reflecting
What is hidden deep inside...
Of joy and peace or pain and sorrow
And anticipation of the love of God
ever present today and each tomorrow.
